Capabilities - Subsea Equipment

Servtech cannot emphasise too much the need to 'Know The Product'. Being able to provide NDT services is no longer enough. Sub sea systems have become more specialised and require inspectors with some degree of knowledge and experience:-

What are we inspecting?
What does the component do?
Where are the stress areas?
Where should we anticipate finding deficiencies?
What historical data do we have?
What criteria are we inspecting this against?
What have been the operating parameters?
Can minor defects be rectified in field?
What can we do to assist the client with repairs?

Just an example of the catalogue of questions we always need to ask for inspection of sub sea equipment. The days of the MPI technician have gone and have been replaced by the competent individual with the knowledge and experience who has access to more expertise from a modern day inspection company therefore delivering a 'Fit For Purpose' inspection system.
